Dionision Life:
A Comedy
Evan Boone thought he was just taking a break leaving behind a failed restaurant and a broken relationship for a quieter life on a small island.
Instead, he finds himself surrounded by oddball locals, complicated loyalties, and a love story playing out very publicly on the side of the road. As friendships blur, old wounds resurface, and new possibilities appear, Evan gets pulled into other people’s dramas—and his own. Smart and funny, this novel is about starting over, figuring things out as you go, and discovering that even on a small island, life rarely stays simple.
“The writing sparkles, as C.C. Benison has an impressive gift for turning the memorable phrase, for inventive similes, for neatly managed extended metaphors, succinct revealing dialogue, and evocative description.”
